Yukio Tomita established a joint venture with Hamworthy in the UK and became Representative Director.
1985
Jul.
License agreement was signed with Industramar (UK) for the manufacture and sale of Schilling rudders.
1990
Mar.
License agreement was signed with Frydenbo, Norway for the manufacture and sale of rotary vane steering gears.
1993
Feb.
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. for the sale of VecTwin Systems with PBCF.
Apr.
Technical Institute was established.
1994
Apr.
Approval for research and development of special rudders for large ships was granted from the Ship and Ocean Foundation.
Sep.
License agreement was signed with Sistemar of Spain for the manufacture and sale of CLT propellers.
1996

Approval for the research and development of marine electric propulsion systems was granted from the Ship and Ocean Foundation.
1999

Joint research agreement was signed with ClassNK (Nippin KAiji Kyokai) on development of energy-saving medium-sized VecTwin vessels.

Approval for joint research project to develop an energy-saving vectored-in system ship was granted from ClassNK (Nippin KAiji Kyokai).
